Rancid 2000 is absolutely my least favorite as well. It is challenging for me to even get thru and just isnt what Rancid IS. Im fine with it, it doesnt offend me when a band tries other stuff but when i turn it on, its bc its my civic duty to listen every couple years I was 17 and like you said, I already had in my head what Rancid was It was a shocker

I don’t ever wanna hate on Makonnen because Gus loved him, but his vocals just made this album a bit difficult for me. You should check out Prove My Love. I think it’s just a really cute song. There’s a version on this album with Makonnen but dude is just kinda wailing in the background. There’s also an older version with just Peep that I think is amazing. You could do a comparison

I was stupid or desperate enough to buy one from Turntablelabs and just got it today. Disappointing. 60 dollars and ate all the blank tapes I just bought. Warbled audio and recording and not just a little antique sounding but completely warbled and annoying. Debating if I should even bother with returning it or just tossing it in the trash. Really saving the planet now with all the outdated, 2 month old iphones and garbage like this! No quality, just quick money making boomer concoctions. Seriously, it's like they got rid of all the coffee makers and gave us keurigs instead! And on purpose! All "connected!" No fucking thanks. Then wanna charge you to not come in between you and your music with some ads and more streaming dependent, phone needs milk more often than a baby, harassment. So done with this shit "modern future" of ours. Cheap and overpriced slavery and control.

I'm very late to this video, but thank you for reacting to this ❤ Chris was touring with Linkin Park for their music festival Project Revolution, or at least the North American leg of it, in 2008. Chris and Chester became very close friends. Chester died just a few months after Chris, same manner and method, on what would have been Chris' birthday. That's why it hurts my heart when Chris sings the line about standing "beside my own reflection" 😭 Just as Chris came to perform a song with Linkin Park, Chester came to perform a song with Chris, "Hunger Strike". If you haven't seen that, I can highly recommend it, they perform it beautifully. Thanks again for reacting to this!
